We're always aware that when we help improve an area by building a road or developing land for a new hospital or housing we can sometimes cause disruption to a community's daily routine. We could do our job and move on, but we try to look for opportunities to offer assistance when a community is in need.

We also have long-term relationships with several non-profit organizations. Our Charity Committee members, who are all Bloomsdale Excavating employees, evaluate and choose the organizations and actions we support.

Pony Bird, Inc., located in Mapaville, Mo., provides residential, recreational, educational, and adult day programming services to those who are non-ambulatory with profound to severe physical disabilities as well as mental disabilities.

World Bird Sanctuary, located in St. Louis, Mo., is one of North America's largest facilities for the conservation of birds. It is dedicated to preserving the Earth's biological diversity and securing the future of threatened bird species in their natural environments.

American Cancer Society
Bloomsdale Excavating supports the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life event each year.

"Bloomsdale Excavating is the prime contractor for MoDOT on the Interstate 44 project. This project, awarded on July 9, 2004, cost approximately $12 million to construct. The contractor began work on August 2, 2004. The contractor worked at an accelerated pace moving two million cubic yards of earth and laying 80,000 tons of asphalt. MoDOT would like to compliment Bloomsdale Excavating's dedication to the pursuit of this project and opening all lanes before the Labor Day weekend."
