Announcing Team Red, White and Blue
Bloomsdale Excavating and the Missouri State Highway Patrol have established a partnership to form a worker's alliance commited to providing an increased awareness in public safety. This partnership, named Team Red, White and Blue, will promote unity between private industry and the highway patrol, improving safety and well-being in the communities served. Fallert Receives TIP Award
Bloomsdale Excavating held their 8th Annual Management Dinner on November 3, 2007. The annual event recognizes the contributions of their management team and encourages employees to take pride in the company mission of "Teamwork, Integrity and Performance".

The TIP Award (Teamwork, Integrity and Performance Award) was presented to Nicholas Fallert in recognition of his superior management skills and contributions to Team BE. Fallert was honored for his exceptional accomplishments and dedication to Bloomsdale Excavating. He participated in a three-year Emerging Leaders Program and from that, has developed his leadership skills. The TIP Award is given to the employee who receives the highest score in an employee evaluation. Fallert was interviewed by Gary Lalumandier, an employee of Bloomsdale Excavating.

Fallert received a $2500 travel voucher and four bonus vacation days, along with the award and a leather jacket with the TIP logo.

BE Selected as Keystone Finalist
Bloomsdale Excavating is a finalist for a 2007 Construction Keystone Award given by the Associated General Contractors or St. Louis. Holcim (US), Inc., is nominated in the category of General Contractor/Construction Management – Industrial/Infrastructure Construction of $5 million or more. Final awards will be given at the Tenth Annual Keystone Awards Gala in October 2007 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Bloomsdale Excavating Brings Home Awards
Bloomsdale Excavating recently received several prestigious awards, demonstrating company commitment to Teamwork, Integrity and Performance. The 2006 Jeffersonian Award was given in recognition for outstanding efforts and commitment in promoting economic and civic progress in Jefferson County. The Habitat for Humanity Homecoming Award was received for Team BE’s participation in digging foundations for homes in the St. Louis area. Manpower and equipment was donated in order to help develop an area of future homes for those in need. Bloomsdale was a also finalist for the 2006 AGC Construction Keystone Awards for the Selma Plant Mass Excavation for Plant Expansion based on the success of the project demonstrated by Team BE.

Bloomsdale Excavating Receives Top Safety Honor
Bloomsdale Excavating and the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) of the U.S. Department of Labor have formed a partnership to prevent accidents and incidents in the mining industry. They are the first independent contractor in the United States and the sixth company nationwide to achieve this honor. The partnership allows both groups to continue developing safe practices for mining companies in Missouri and throughout the United States.

“This is a great honor for Bloomsdale Excavating. It demonstrates our commitment to safety and reinforces our company values of teamwork, integrity and performance. Our employees take pride in being safe on the jobsite and this partnership encourages further safety practices,” said Jeff Weiler.
There are 1850 mines in the South Central District and 7500 independent contractors nationwide. Only ten partnerships will be formed in this district.
