Bloomsdale Excavating performed site grading for a 28-lot residential subdivision located in an existing subdivision in St. Louis County, Missouri. All lots had been sold, so it was extremely important to complete this project in a timely manner. The owner asked Bloomsdale to take the lead in coordinating the sequencing of the work to ensure subcontractors were not held up. Working in an established neighborhood proved to be challenging, but Bloomsdale was able to complete the project ahead of schedule due to the communication of Bloomsdale personnel with the project manager and other subcontractors without any problems from the adjoining property owners.
“It was a pleasure working with a subcontractor that wanted to complete the work as fast as I did. A concern of mine from the beginning was the coordination between the grading and the wall construction. Due to the small size of the development and the boulder walls being an integral part in the final grading this could have presented a problem. Led in the field by Jerry, the Bloomsdale grading crew worked well with our wall contractor to coordinate the week’s activities by providing creative solutions to keep everyone moving. McBride and I look forward to working with you in the future.”
