EMJ selected Bloomsdale Excavating to perform the site work development for a new Lowe’s store in Republic, Missouri. A particular obstacle that made this project a challenge for Bloomsdale was that the original contract date of June 2005, afforded Bloomsdale the summer months to execute the “Lion’s share” of the grading and utilities installation. However, because of a number of delays closing on the property, EMJ requested that Bloomsdale extend their start date three different times for a total of three months. This resulted in working through the fall and into the winter months when weather was sure to affect the schedule. “Bloomsdale Excavating is completing another project for us at the Lowes store in Republic, Missouri. It is a great pleasure to work with an Excavating and Utility contractor run as professionally as Bloomsdale. They meet their schedules with quality and teamwork.” Jim Self, Vice President of Construction Operations
