Scott Drury has more than 27 years of experience in the construction field and currently serves as President. Drury is responsible for the operation and improvement of the systems that create and deliver Bloomsdale Excavating services while ensuring business operations are efficient and effective. Previously, he served as Vice President of Operations, regional manager, assistant regional manager, construction superintendent, project superintendent, quality control manager and general superintendent of grading and utility construction.
In a construction management role for Bloomsdale Excavating Company, Inc., Drury oversaw grading, blasting, utility and various excavation projects. His duties included day-to-day coordination of manpower, equipment, and contract administration of multiple projects, production tracking, job costing, scheduling, and extensive public relations. Drury utilized his public relations abilities on blasting projects in coordination with educational meetings involving city officials, business owners and local residents. His duties as a Vice President of Operations included providing direction and guidance to the operation of all regions with a focus on strategic, tactical and short-term operations management.
Drury is involved with several committees within Bloomsdale Excavating as well as industry organizations. He currently serves on the board of directors of AGC of St. Louis, the Ste. Genevieve County board for the Developmentally Disabled/Independence Center and the labor negotiating committee for SITE Improvement Association. Drury maintains an active partnership with the Missouri State Highway Patrol (Team Red, White and Blue); is a member of the Young Presidents Organization Saint Louis Gateway Chapter, Missouri Chamber of Commerce, Missouri Limestone Producers Association, Southern Illinois Builders Association, Citizens Electric Co-Op Board of Directors; and is a contributor and supporter of Pony Bird and the World Bird Sanctuary as well as other community organizations.
